Opening Sequence Research- Batman Begins

The scene starts with a loud bang showing the Warner Bros. Pictures logo and then showing the DC comics logo, the screen then goes black and you can hear a high pitched noise which is quite unfamiliar at first until you see loads of bats flying to form the shape of the batman logo. It then cuts to a track shot of the children running with very intense music as though to tell the audience that something is going to happen this also makes the audience feel uneasy about the scene which is good because it gets them interested into the film. We decided that we would use sound slightly similarly, in a sense of making them feel uneasy by using slow sad music. You then see the children playing with each other and the boy runs off, the girl follows and the boy ends up falling into a ditch, the girl runs off and calls for help when a swarm of bats fly at the main character Bruce, this is an important part of the film as it is what led him to become Batman. This is similar to our Opening Title sequence as in ours, our main character gains his powers.
